A Cooperative Transmission Scheme in Radio Frequency Energy-Harvesting WBANs

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) plays an important role in e-health, sports training, and entertainment to monitor human bodies wirelessly remotely. One critical challenge for WBAN is guarantee the quality of user experience improve network performance within such a resource-constrained dynamic network. In proposed paper, we investigate cooperative radio frequency energy harvesting-based WBAN. Herein, primarily focus on improving efficiency through intelligent cooperation among nodes, allowing sensors with sufficient assist other data uploading. We propose relay selection method that considers both demand harvest efficiency. Each sensor calculates transmission power threshold required uploading based perceived channel state determines whether it can act as potential node conjunction its own The coordinator responsible optimizing collaborative plans real-time status. Experimental results show scheme performs better than common single-hop terms packet reception rate arrival rate. consisting 10 sensors, increase ranges from 4.9% 7.8% when are placed preset fixed positions. When randomly placed, 0.9% 7.9% 0.7% 7.4%, corresponding δ values 0.7 0.9, respectively.
